4 Tips To Create The Perfect eBook

One of the best ways to collect leads of platforms like Facebook ads is to offer a free ebook. But building an ebook that delivers fresh leads to your business is a bit of a mystery to many businesses.

Many don’t know where to start.

In this video, I outline the four best tips to build an ebook that prospects are hungry to download.

The four tips are:

1. Must be a 3-4 minute read

People are time poor. If you send them an ebook that takes too long to read, they won’t read it. You should make the ebook readable in 3-4 minutes.

Anything longer and people will put it off to read later. Putting it off until later means they will probably never read it.

2. Teach 3-5 points

You should aim to teach no more than 3-4 main points. Too many points will leave people missing your major message.

Most people are suffering from information overload and are overwhelmed with an exploding to do list.

Keep your ebook short, and to the point, so it can be understood quickly and easily.

3. Have a call to action at the end

Every eBook should have a call to action (CTA) on the last page. A CTA is the next best step a reader should take to move them along your sales funnel.

Without a CTA at the end of your ebook, you lose a priceless opportunity to help the reader take the next step. If you have written valuable content in your ebook, then you’ve earned the right to include a strong upsell into the next phase of your sales funnel.

4. The title must solve a pain point your prospects have

Marketing is successful when you identify your prospect’s pain point and then help them solve it.

Successful ebooks often include the pain point in the title. When your prospect reads the title, they must identify with the pain point enough to want to swap their contact details for the ebook.

Laser in on the prospects pain point. Put it in the title of the eBook, and you’ll be amazed at how many downloads you will receive.

5. BONUS TIP – Don’t waste the thank you page.

In the video, I gave a bonus tip. Here is it.

Most marketers waste the opportunity found on the thank you page. The thank you page is the page a prospect will land on after they enter their details to download an ebook. A typical thank you page will contain a link to download the ebook.

Instead of placing just the ebook on the thank you page, you should also place an offer to the next stage in your funnel. Alternatively, you could place an offer to buy your product or service.

Think about it. If someone has just chosen to download your ebook, they have identified themselves as being interested in what your business offers. If you just give the ebook, you’re missing out on an opportunity to take someone excited about your offer to the next level.

What you should do is offer them the next step. You will be surprised at how many take that next step because they are in the right frame of mind to do so.

Conclusion

eBooks are powerful tools for capturing qualified leads for your business. Create an effective ebook, and the leads and sales will flow. Follow these five principles, and you will create a lead generating machine.
